Ab Initio Interview Questions


An Ab Initio candidate must have a thorough knowledge of information processing systems as well as the technical skill to handle enormous volumes of data. Ab Initio interview questions must not only focus on a candidate’s basic technical acumen but must also test his or her skills as a professional with a broad vision and the ability to face challenges.

Sample Ab Initio Interview Questions

  1. Why have you chosen to work with Ab Initio? What would you consider our plus points?
  2. What do we mean by a Reformat Component? How does one use it?
  3. Have you used Ab Initio software prior to this? What are the advantages of using these products? How would you rate them on a scale of one to ten?
  4. Give a few examples of common runtime errors? How do you propose to erase them?
  5. How can one reduce the size of a file? Give a brief outline of the functional benefits of Graphical Development Environment.
  6. Explain the functions and utility of Component Library.
  7. Give a brief description of your academic career till date. How do you think it has equipped you for the challenges that lie ahead in your chosen profession?
  8. What are the unique skills that you will be bringing into your profession? What do you understand by the work team work? Do you think it is at all relevant in this kind of a job?
  9. What are your other areas of interest? Where do you see yourself professionally say five years down the line?
