Question: What is your philosophy towards work?

Answer: My philosophy is, irrespective of the different backgrounds and personal interests of people, work should be completed with dedication and commitment on time. Everyone should work together towards a common goal to add more value to the benefit of the customer.

Answer: I am basically intolerant to people who don’t work at the same pace as me but I’m learning to deal with this. I make sure that they are assigned the correct tasks and make sure that they are on the right track.

Question: Do you consider yourself successful in your career?

Answer: Yes, I am successful in my career because I have achieved a good position in the organization within a span of three years. I set goals for every four years and attaining this position has been my current goal which was met in three years.

Answer: I enrolled myself into a course useful for the next version of our current project. I attended seminars on personal development and managerial skills improvement.

Answer: One can rarely choose the people with whom to spend the majority of each working day. I feel responsible to maintain a professional attitude. I learnt to deal with them smoothly to benefit my work life and avoid stress.

Answer: I was involved with a professional organization that was reputed for delivery on time. I had to squeeze in for a senior writer after less than half the work done and 70% time elapsed.  It was a memorable day when I received award for the work and timely delivery.

Question: How would you work under pressure, elaborate upon an earlier situation?

Answer: I have always demonstrated a high level of control even when placed under pressure by prioritizing tasks so that my workload remains manageable. I did stretch those extra hours to meet the deliverable on time for a prestigious project.

Answer: I failed to choose the right subjects at university. I chose physics, where my creative thinking was not put to most optimally. I have since moved into writing and achieved laurels.

Question: Tell me about a time when you had to adjust to a team member’s working style in order to complete a project.

Answer: I got in sync with the team members by adjusting my behaviors to their wants and needs. I clarified the team’s common goals and purposes and each person’s role in achieving the completing the project in their own style.

Question: What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment so far and why?

Answer: I registered many students for the courses, designed and managed registration software, and solved customer problems at the previous organization. Those students who are all well absorbed into jobs after course completion contacted me and shared their happiness with me.

Answer: During my organization’s accreditation process, I developed a detailed accreditation self-evaluation report that served as basis for accreditation site visits and enabled all eligible programs to be accredited in record time.

Question : How do you prioritize projects and tasks when scheduling your time? Give me some examples.

Answer: I set goals to achieve target and begin by properly managing time to work towards these goals. I create a To-Do list, and a schedule to complete all the important tasks within a given period of time.

Question: What are the most important rewards you expect to gain from your career?

Answer: Most important rewards to me are recognition for my efforts, financial rewards, challenges, and growth in my career.  I like to be able to look back and see that I’ve accomplished something,

Question: What do you look for in employment?

Answer: I search for opportunities to properly utilize my skills and perform well.  A good performance would help the organization and bring me recognition.

Question: How do you definition you role for the position?

Answer: My role for the selected position would include domain knowledge, responsibility of deliverables and accountability. Please let me know if the position requires any other skill sets.

Answer: I expect there would be some pressing demands to be met initially, that involves work from day-one. But, to make a significant contribution, it could take at least nine months before I can thoroughly understand the organization and its needs well enough.

Answer: I am a self made person.  My honesty, hard work and willingness have awarded me success in both career and life. My career objective is to get selected in a reputed company.

Answer: I am concerned naturally, but not panicked. I am willing to accept some risk to find the right job for myself that enables my career growth.

Answer: I have a mixed leadership style that is circumstantial. Generally I am egalitarian but there are times that I need to be commanding because some things just require a decision to be made.

Answer: Opportunities for growth were lacking in such as small company. One of the reasons I am interested in your company is that, as a large organization it has formal career planning structures in place.

Question: Describe a time when you were in a stressful situation ?

Answer: I worked for a manager who yelled at me when under pressure to meet deadlines. I got upset but talked to him and empathized with the stress he was under. I suggested that he communicated his expectations clearly to me on a daily basis so I could also give him feedback on progress and sorted out issues immediately.

Question: Tell me about a time you had to adjust your work priorities to meet changing demands ?

Answer: In the middle of drawing up my departmental budget I was asked to put together a costing for a big project. I made an outline of the information I needed immediately for the costing and assigned a portion to each of my staff, briefed them and got feedback. I was then able to re focus on completing the budget on time.

Answer: I tend to avoid such situations where I have no control over the environment.  I do become autocratic sometimes, using rank and authority to end the tension.  Sometimes, I negotiate outcomes on a win/win basis.

How do you usually go about solving a problem?


Question: How do you usually go about solving a problem?

Answer: I start by writing down as many ideas as I can think of about possible causes and look for relationships among causes to group together symptoms of bigger problems. The real cause becomes apparent once I study these groups of problems.

Answer: I want to be an Oak tree because I want to reach the new heights in my career and have roots down at the company.
