Investment Analyst Interview Questions


An investment analyst interview questions are the questions asked to an individual who is sitting for an interview for the position of an investment analyst.  An investment analyst is a person who analyses the financial status of the business of a client. So the questions should be framed in such a manner to get an idea whether the individual has any understanding of business or investment.

Sample investment analyst interview questions

  2. Do you have any work experience as an investment analyst and if yes, how many years of work experience do you have?
  3. Why do you want to make your career in the field of investment analysis?
  4. Have you worked in any other field?
  5. What do you know about investments?
  6. What are the various kinds of investments?
  7. How would you detect if the documents submitted by a client are genuine or not?
  8. In your current organization have you faced any situation when the financial statements provided by the client were not genuine? If yes, how did you react in that situation and handle the situation?
  9. What are the three main ways of valuing a company? What are the advantages and disadvantages of the three methods?
  10. What do you understand by an enterprise value and how would you calculate it?
  11. In the financial statements of a company where do you think the net income shows up?
  12. How do you think that depreciation affects the financial statement of a company?
  13. How would you analyze the value of stock trading of a company?
  14. What are your salary expectations from this job profile?
